I just wanted to extend my thanks to all of the coaches and staff at Players Indoor Sports! JD had a great time on the middle school team. He learned a ton, and it was a joy as a father to watch him improve over the season. He loves Lacrosse and is rarely not thinking or talking about it. This has been an awesome experience for him. I think that the coaching and opportunity to learn has really helped to develop him way beyond where he was at the beginning of the season. Thanks again! John Moore

Naperville Park District and Players Team up for some great Programs
SPRING, SUMMER AND FALL PROGRAMS
Lacrosse….Learn it, Love it Live it!
A new approach to BOYS lacrosse comes to Naperville…..
Players Indoor Sports Center is bringing its signature lacrosse instruction and leagues to the outdoor fields. Players Lacrosse has teamed up with the Naperville Park District to bring you a boys program designed for the players of all levels and their parents.
Lacrosse Leagues
Buzzsaw Grades 3 to 5 (Beginners)
This program is geared toward the introduction of the game of lacrosse at a slower pace with emphasis on basic skills, mechanics, and game knowledge with a lesser emphasis on competition. Participants will have the opportunity to experience the game on an “entry level” basis learning what they need to know to continue building their skills. Participants will have a practice 2 x per week (1.5 hrs. each) and a game on Saturday (1 hr.). Games will be instructional in nature with on-field coaching and stopping play to make corrections and give appropriate instruction. Rental equipment must be reserved in advance by contacting Players Indoor Sports Center.
Bandits Grades 6 to 8 (Beginners to Moderate experience)
The Bandits program offer the same overall program as the “Buzzsaw” level with a bit more emphasis on the competitive side of the game. Participants will practice 2 x per week (1.5 hrs. each) and a game on Saturday (1 hr.). Games will emphasize skills and mechanics learned in the previous practice sessions but coaches will be on the sideline (not on the field). Rental equipment must be reserved in advance by contacting Players Indoor Sports Center.
Braveheart Grades 6 to 8 (Moderate to Advanced experience and skill level)
Program offers a “Club Team” atmosphere and is geared toward the more experienced players looking to experience a higher level of play. The emphasis at this level will be competition, strategy and the more intricate aspects of the game. Participants must have a minimum of 1 yr. playing experience through camps, clinics, club teams or schools. Basic skills and mechanics will be emphasized but players will be expected to have basic skill sets (throwing, catching, cradling, scooping and basic offensive and defensive concepts) to participate at this level. In addition to inter-squad games on Saturdays this level will also compete against its ‘cross-town’ rivals at Commissioners and Nike Parks along with opportunities to play other club teams in the area. Participants will practice 2 x per week (1.5 hrs. each) and compete on Saturday (1 hr.).
Rental equipment must be reserved in advance by contacting Players Indoor Sports Center.

Attention Parents!!
With the rapid growth of lacrosse in the Midwest we know you will want to learn the game to support your child in their efforts. Naperville is ranked #2 in the growth of lacrosse in Illinois just behind the North Shore. We need your help to be sure that this area continues to grow. We are looking for adults that want to get involved in this exciting game to coach, or just to understand what you are watching.
Coaches Clinics
Players will offer ongoing training beginning in March for Adults interested in learning to coach, or just want to know more about the game. Training will include on field demonstration, film review, actual instruction of the basics and coaching plans. Should you decide that you would like to coach, we will provide you with practice and game plans weekly. A facilitator will be at each practice and game to answer your questions and give you ideas to enhance your knowledge of the game. All coaches that complete the training will be “Players Certified” and able to begin coaching a Players Lacrosse team. Contact Players Indoor Sports Center for dates and times. Coaching clinics are held indoor at Players Indoor Sports Center. Clinics are free but you must pre-register. SEE REGISTRATION DETAILS BELOW.
Referee Clinics
Being a lacrosse official is a great way to make extra money year round. Certification classes for lacrosse officials involve field and film training along with US Lacrosse rule book which is included in the class. You will get actual on field game experience shadowing a certified official. Opportunities are open to persons over 16 years of age. Training follows US Lacrosse guidelines. Hi Coach Stolzer, This is Zach Fodor (goalie) from Naperville Central and the first Midwest team. I wanted to e-mail you and tell you that I am back into the sport of lacrosse. About two months ago I started playing lacrosse again for the University of South Florida as a walk-on goalie. I played in my first collegiate lacrosse game this past weekend vs. D2 Eckerd college and it was probably one of the most competitive, fun and demanding games I have ever been involved in. I started playing again after I couldn't take watching from the sideline anymore, and I remember when you told me that I cannot let my injuries (broken hands) keep me from the sport. I wanted to say thank you for your encouragement and coaching because i don't think I would have picked up the sport again without it. Also, make sure to take a look at the USF Lax website, bullslax.org. I hope all is well and I'll try my best to stop by when I am home from school.
Have a great season,
Zach Fodor
